Special feature:
It was built at the Fujigen Edelschmiede in Japan, where the high-quality Fender Japan and Gretsch guitars are also made.
The partially hollow-carved body is made of mahogany (one piece!), and the top is made of spruce with elegant bird's-eye maple.
The STARFIELD brand was launched by Ibanez in the late 1980s and early 1990s as a premium line.
The company manufactured high-quality instruments for only 3 to 4 years (until 1994/1995).
Starfield instruments have an excellent reputation and are now very hard to find. There aren’t many of these instruments in existence, and those who own one usually never part with it. The prices of these instruments have risen steadily in recent years.
