Rickenbacker 2030GF Glenn Frey

SOLD!!!

A used, very well-preserved, and unmodified "Rickenbacker 2030GF Glenn Frey" in Jetglo finish, built in 1992, including the original Rickenbacker case and a new certificate.

Distinctive feature
Very few of the Rickenbacker 2030GF—which is, strictly speaking, a 2020 model—were ever built.

A total of 1,000 units of the 230GF + 2030GF model were originally planned to be built. However, due to low demand, production was discontinued—something that has never happened with any other Rickenbacker Signature series. In fact, only 239 of the originally planned 1,000 guitars and basses were actually built.

Peter D. Boyer writes in his The Rickenbacker Bass book states that "fewer than 100" were built.

Both the bass and the fingerboard are made entirely of maple. The fingerboard has been finished in black.

Regarding the condition of the Rickenbacker:
There are only slight polishing marks on the entire instrument. The black finish on the bridge has faded slightly, as can be clearly seen in the photos.

The original truss rods are in pristine condition and work perfectly.

All of the electronics are untouched and original, just as the guitar left the Rickenbacker factory.

The frets show very, very light wear—a 9.5 out of 10, with 10 being like new.

Accessories:
The original Rickenbacker case is included and shows signs of use.

The case also comes with a key, as well as the original Rickenbacker owner's manual and an original Rickenbacker cleaning cloth.

A certificate of authenticity recently issued by Rickenbacker is also included in the package.
