The Martin HD-40 Tom Petty is a highly sought-after collector's item.
These guitars were built in 2004 in a strictly limited series of 274 units.
Particularly striking are the very elaborately crafted Moon and Stars inlays on the fingerboard and the abalone inlays on the headstock as well as the inlaid Tom Petty lettering.
The tonewoods used were an Italian Alpine Spruce top and East India Rosewood back and sides.
The guitar was fitted ex works with a Fishman Gold Plus Natural II pickup.
A dream guitar that is rarely found, has a first-class sound and is also extremely easy to play.
