„Rickenbacker 481“ in the colour Fireglo year of manufacture 1976 incl. case.
Special feature:
From 1974 to 1982 Rickenbacker built the model 481 with „slanted frets“.
The idea with „Slanted Frets“ was to fit the neck to the arch between the thumb and index finger of the player’s left hand. It worked well when the guitarist fingered the fretboard with his thumb. Its advantages ceased when barré chords were played. For the first time, Rickenbacker produced slanted frets at the end of 1969.
This guitar still comes with 24 slanted frets, a pickup phase invert switch and two Rickenbacker humbucker pickups. It was equipped by Rickenbacker with the deluxe features „Triangle Inlays“ as well as „Body Binding“.
For the 90th birthday of Rickenbacker in 2021, 39 years after the last 480/481 models, the 480XC model will be built which will have a proud price tag of almost 5000,- EUR.
To the condition:
The instrument is used.
There are only minimal signs of use on the entire instrument. There are beautiful age-related lacquer cracks in the clear lacquer.
The original TrussRods work perfectly.
All electronics are untouched and original, just as the guitar left the factory.

The frets show no signs of play.

The case is included and shows minimal signs of use.
Furthermore, a key is included with the case and also the original Rickenbacker instruction manual and an original Rickenbacker care cloth.
