The instrument was only manufactured in relatively small numbers between 1972 and 1983.
To mark Rickenbacker's 90th anniversary, the 480XC model will be built in 2021/2022, carrying a hefty price tag of just under EUR 5,000.
This instrument is a great player with excellent string action and, incidentally, delivers THE fantastic Rickenbacker sound.
The guitar is very easy to play and has fantastic string action.
Regarding the condition:
The instrument is used.
There are only minimalsigns of wear on the instrument. The instrument was repainted in Fiesta Red.
The original truss rods work perfectly.

The frets show minimal signs of wear.
